This Service is a product of Experience Publishing, Inc. ("Experience Publishing"). Experience Publishing creates and distributes a variety of web-based products and services. We are dedicated to improving your situation, including the long-term protection of your privacy.
This policy explains how we use the personal information you submit. As we update and expand our services, this policy may change, so please refer back to it periodically. If you use any of Experience Publishing's services, you agree to these terms.
This policy applies only to Experience Publishing's websites, but not to any third-party websites to which we may link. Your use of the websites is governed by Experience Publishing's Terms of Service, as well as by any other published rules pertaining to a particular website.
When you register for an Experience Publishing product, we ask you for personal information. We use this information to process your order and to communicate with you. We use your email address to send you material related to your subscription, as well as messages about special offers, promotional announcements and consumer surveys. Occasionally, we send our customers special offers and promotional information via postal mail, using the shipping address you provide. If you do not wish to receive announcements or postal mail, simply go to the Customer Service page and send us a note indicating your preferences or unsubscribe using the link above.
How Information is Collected and Used
We receive and store any information you enter on our websites (or give us in any other way). The information collected includes your email address, password, full name, billing address, and credit card number. You must be at least 13 years old to use Experience Publishing's services.
We store this information so that you can readily access this information later to make future orders quicker and easier. If you want to update your address or change credit cards, go to Customer Support and make the appropriate changes. You must be signed in to access Customer Support.
Our policy is that we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from subscribers under thirteen years of age. If you are under thirteen years of age, you should not register to become a Subscriber or provide personally identifiable information on any of the Sites. If you are the parent or guardian of a subscriber under the age of thirteen whom you believe has disclosed personally identifiable information to Experience Publishing, please contact Experience Publishing at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may delete and remove such subscriber's information from our data storage.
Experience Publishing also offers an Affiliate program, where affiliate members direct customers to Experience Publishing through links on their websites. We ask affiliates for their site name (URL), mailing address, primary contact, pay-to address, technical contact, and other site-related information to determine whether a site will be included in our network of affiliates. You can visit the Affiliate program part of the site for more details. The information collected from our affiliates is used strictly for that program, not for general marketing purposes.
We also track your billing history so you can access Customer Support and immediately determine your current payment and enrollment status.
Viewing and Updating Your Information
You can access the personal information you have provided to an Experience Publishing website at any time - by visiting the Customer Support section. At your convenience, you can make changes to this information via Customer Support.
Residual information, which may or may not contain personally identifiable information, will remain within Experience Publishing's databases, access logs, and other records even if you delete Customer Support from Experience Publishing's records.
As you browse the Experience Publishing websites, cookies are placed on your computer's hard drive. (Cookies are small pieces of data that are sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your hard drive.) Cookies allow us to track the areas of the site visited, and help us match your address and credit card information with your authentication so you don't need to retype the information each time you visit our site.
Experience Publishing also places small GIFs on certain website pages to track site usage. These are used to evaluate marketing sources, track web traffic, and evaluate user interest in specific content areas. We also use pixel-based tracking in some of our email correspondence to evaluate their open rates and overall usefulness.
Experience Publishing cannot definitively ensure that all of your personally identifiable information and communications will remain private and will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Policy. Therefore, although we maintain and make every effort to comply with industry privacy standards, we do not promise, nor should you expect, that your personally identifiable information or private communications will always remain private.
When we contract with other companies to perform services (such as web hosting, credit card processing, user analysis, survey management), these companies may have access to your personally identifying information. By contractual agreement, these companies must treat your information in strict confidence, and not permit its sale, rental or disclosure to third parties. We will not be liable for any damages that may result from the misuse of your personal information by these companies.
We may use a vendor to carry out email correspondence with you.
Experience Publishing reserves the right to disclose information when required by law.
Customers should check back for updates to this policy. Experience Publishing will obtain email consent from any user if the company is going to be using the information collected in a manner different from that stated when the user registered.
Many Experience Publishing websites offer subscribers and other users access to message boards. Your postings on a discussion board (or other community forum) are not private, and can be read by other users. Information you post to a message board or on other community features, including your profile information, will be disclosed and available to all users of that message board or chat room. Experience Publishing cannot guarantee the security of such information that you disclose or communicate online in public areas (such as message boards), and you do so at your own risk.
Disclosure of Personal Information in the Event of Merger or Asset Sale
Experience Publishing, its parent, subsidiaries or affiliates, could merge with or be acquired by another business entity, or all or substantially all of their respective assets could be acquired. Should such a combination, acquisition or transaction occur, you should expect that Experience Publishing will share some or all of your personally identifiable information with the acquiring or merged entity in order to continue serving you and others information, updates and offers concerning the websites.
Third Party Links
On behalf of various sponsors, the Sites may provide sponsored links to third-party websites or resources ("Linked Sites"). Experience Publishing neither controls nor have we reviewed or approved the content that appears on such Linked Sites. You acknowledge and agree that Experience Publishing is not responsible for the legality, accuracy or inappropriate nature of any content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from such Linked Sites. You further acknowledge and agree that Experience Publishing shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, and services available on or through any such Linked Site.
Security and Access
Experience Publishing uses secure server software (SSL) to process all website transactions. SSL encrypts information transmitted over the Internet, including personal data such as credit card number, name and address. This encryption process helps ensure that the information you give us is protected against unauthorized access. Experience Publishing cannot warrant or guarantee the security of its servers, nor can it guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to Experience Publishing over the Internet. Experience Publishing places a priority on the security of personally identifiable information, and we undertake reasonable security measures that comply with federal regulations to protect the data that resides on our servers.
You can access Customer Support from every page on the site to update and correct your name, email address, password, postal address, and credit card information. Please note that you must be signed in to an Experience Publishing product to access this information.
We have implemented technology and security features, as well as strict internal guidelines, to safeguard the privacy of your personal information from unauthorized access or improper use. We will continue to enhance our security procedures as improvements become available. While we make every effort to ensure that your information is secure with us, no data transmission over the Internet can be completely guaranteed as secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
